A band in Lombardia against Puglia

A band in Puglia advertises a median EUR 500 against EUR 420 in Lombardia, 19% higher, across 454 and 938 advertised bands gathered 2026-08-06. These are advertised starting prices, not transacted fees, and the two regions do not necessarily advertise the same thing.

An entry price is whatever a business decided to put at the bottom of its listing, and that is not a fixed quantity of work. A band advertising from €420 may be offering four hours where one advertising from €500 is offering ten, or the reverse. The gap below is a gap between advertised entry points, which is a real and checkable thing, and it is not a like-for-like price for the same service.

Each column is the share of that region's own sample, not a count, because the two samples are different sizes and a count would compare how many businesses advertise rather than what they advertise. Bars are scaled to the tallest share on the page. The spread figures in the table above say the same thing numerically: Lombardia is the tighter market of the two.

How this was gathered

1392 bands from 1392 businesses.

Advertised price bands published by suppliers on matrimonio.com, a public Italian wedding directory, read on 2026-08-06. These are starting prices a business chose to advertise, not fees anybody was charged, and no individual listing is reproduced here.

Both sides clear 40 observations, which is the floor this site publishes a median at. A comparison is generated only where all three hold: the category is one of the 3 with the largest national sample (photographers, bands, hair and makeup artists); both regions are among the 8 with the most observations (Lombardia, Sicilia, Campania, Toscana, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Puglia, Piemonte); and both sides clear 40 observations for that category. Nothing was chosen by hand, and the ceiling is 3 × 28 = 84 pages.

No supplier is named here. Both distributions are histograms over aggregates, so the shape behind each median is checkable without reproducing anybody else's listing.
